Worship at the Beach

How weighty to me are your thoughts, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  I try to count them–they are more than the sand; I come to the end–I am still with you.

Psalm 139:17, 18

Praise the Lord!  Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament!  Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:1, 6

O Lord, how manifold are your works!  In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.  Yonder is the sea, great and wide, creeping things innumerable are there, living things both small and great.  There go the ships and Leviathan that you formed to sport in it.

Psalm 104:24

Beginning Sunday, June 4 and continuing each Sunday through Labor Day weekend (September 3), FPC hosts worship on the beach Lighthouse Beach Park.  Come and experience worship in the grand cathedral of God’s creation, right at the water’s edge beneath the Blue Water Bridges and the historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse!

  • Service begins at 8:00a.m.
  • Dress is VERY casual (come in your shorts and bare feet)
  • Pets are welcome
  • Children of all ages are encouraged to come
  • Music is blended between some traditional hymns and more contemporary music (but all with acoustic instruments–there is no electricity)
  • BYOB (bring your own blanket) or chair
  • Stay for fellowship in the picnic area afterwards

There really is nothing like this service elsewhere in the Blue Water Area.  We hope you’ll come and see for yourself and join us as we worship God!

***IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER (HIGH WINDS OR RAIN) SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE FPC SANCTUARY (8th and Wall Streets, Port Huron).  CHECK OUT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS IF YOU’RE UNSURE.
